6 month contract with very possible extensions with a well-known client in the RTP/Morrisville area.
We’re looking for an enterprise level designer/developer to join their eLearning team. This person will be responsible for designing a customer facing portal that employees can access all eLearning products - video based. They will be responsible for building a prototype and determine how video will be displayed. Experience with mobile development will be needed since the site will need to be iPad compatible.
Below are a list of skills that are important:
Expert level in JavaScript and AJAX, developer on the client side. Should understand server-side development but may not need to do much beyond test code on the server
Strong in:
- CSS 2/3, DOM, HTML, jQuery / Dojo / ExtJS or comparable component libraries
- Rapid prototyping
- User Experience (UX) / User Interface (UI)
- Information Architecture
- Transformation of enterprise-level customer-facing sites
Experience with:
- E-Commerce site design
- Social Media site design
- Advanced navigation and information design for large volumes of disparate data and information types (discussion, blogs, e-commerce, video, games, training content, marketing content, etc. etc.)
- Web Content Management Systems (Web CMS)
- Business Process Improvement (BPI) as part of design process
- Ability to test across browsers and platforms, including iPad
- Creating jQuery extensions and CSS-based design themes and skins
Software
- Adobe Creative Suite: Dreamweaver, Photoshop esp. (expert level)
- Firebug / Chrome developer tools / Web Developer plugin
- Any CSS testing and debug tools
- Basic UNIX Command Line Interface (CLI) skills
