Website Validation & Documentation Specialist


Top Three Skills:
  1. 5 years experience in the analysis, design and implementation of Web-based initiatives
  2. 1-2 years web QA/testing experience
  3. Demonstrated passion for understanding how users interact with websites and familiarity with testing for compliance with web standards such as W3C and Section 508 (NICE to have)
Job Description:
Client is seeking an experienced web professional to document the as-is functionality of our external website, conduct regression and functional testing as changes are made, and update site documentation to reflect new functionality.

Additional Information:
  • Maintain as-is functional documentation of the client's website and associated applications
  • Review existing documentation and consolidate into a single set of reference materials
  • Document interactions between presentation layer and back-end systems and identify dependencies
  • Update documentation as applications evolve
  • Review pertinent project artifacts (i.e. Functional and Technical Specifications, Use Cases, etc.) in relation to assigned projects; evaluate impacted webpages/users and potential overlaps with other projects
  • Design test approaches and test plans to confirm adherence to system and business requirements and functionality and to ensure the integrity of the user experience is maintained
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to online standards and guidelines
  • Create, modify, and execute various types of test cases (e.g. functional, integrated, regression, end-to-end, etc.) within a specified timeframe
  • Evaluate test results against pre-defined expectations and verify expected results
  • Escalate testing issues or defects for assistance with resolution
  • Conduct analysis based on test output and document findings
  • Complete project status, test scripts and defect documentation entry into the appropriate databases or applications
  • Collaborate and participate in test automation initiatives to further automate data entry, regression testing, and production validation activities.
