The Product Management team at Zaloni is responsible for building a product strategy that will please our customers as well as provide an industry leading vision for our overall market. The Zaloni Product Management team serves as a bridge between our customers and the Zaloni Development, Marketing, and Sales teams. 

What You’ll Do in This Role to Add Value

Zaloni is transforming the way organizations enable, govern, and engage with their data assets. We are seeking a User Experience Designer to collaborate with internal and external product influencers and users. You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers and users have a positive experience with Zaloni’s Arena platform, as measured by greater user engagement, customer retention, and market recognition.  You will help define the user experience, drive execution from conception to release, and measure adoption.  Your success is defined as product adoption and ability to build a trusted partnership with a cross-functional team, including marketing, engineering, sales, and technical support teams to guide and inspire a satisfying experience for all of our end users.


  • Conduct user research to learn about users and their behavior, goals, motivations, and needs in order to inform effective product decisions.
  • Create user personas. Identify key user groups and create representative personas of their behaviors within the data management lifecycle.
  • Define an effective information architecture to organize features within the Zaloni Arena platform to guide the user to accomplish key DataOps tasks.
  • Design user flows and wireframes and share with engineering teams.
  • Create prototypes and an interactive version of the product before handing off to development, which provides a tangible way for stakeholders to evaluate the prototype.
  • Test products on real users and gather feedback based on a minimum viable product (MVP).
  • Set clear requirements and acceptance criteria pertaining to the primary user interface points for Arena (Web UI, REST APIs, Documentation, etc.)
  • Review the work of engineering teams to ensure compliance with Zaloni branding and established UX & UI standards

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in software user experience design
  • Knowledge of relevant UX best practices, including User-Centered Design principles
  • Demonstrated experience with the responsibilities listed above
  • Exceptional oral and written English language skills; ability to communicate effectively via email, slack, video, phone, and similar technologies with colleagues, customers, and partners.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate ideas
  • Ability to deliver results in a team-based environment
  • Portfolio of previous work must be presented incorporating User Interface (UI) designs and/or sketches that demonstrate an understanding of interaction design and visual design
