Role Summary
The UI/UX Designer within the Product Management department is an invaluable part of our customer-facing development, and is someone who creates easily understood functionality to help our users accomplish what they want to do. The UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating compelling user interfaces; collaborating with business analysts, and systems architects to propose new solutions to complex user-centered design problems and clearly articulate design decisions. Ultimately, the UI/UX Designer ensures our applications and mobile products are user friendly, intuitive, and easy to navigate so end-users can complete their intended tasks. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to a design engagement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The UI/UX Designer main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Gathering and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, business analysts and development
• Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
• Building page navigation buttons and search fields
• Developing UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
• Preparing and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identifying and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conducting layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhering to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Training system functionality both internally and externally
• Understanding and supporting product business goals while advocating user-centered design (UCD) industry best practices.
• Working with a global development team to produce detailed workflows and design specifications

Experience and/or Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Design or IT related field or seven (7) years applicable experience)
• 3 years proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
• 3 years’ experience with responsive and/or mobile design and deployment
• 3 years’ experience with Axure,, or other prototyping software
• 3 years’ experience with Adobe Creative Suites, specifically Photoshop, or similar platform
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Solid understanding of user-centered / interaction design methodologies, principals and practices in both application and mobile design
• Presentation of design projects portfolio is required

• Experience with leading focus groups and design briefs, internally and externally
• Experience with creating large-scale enterprise application interfaces or large-scale websites.
• Experience with creating mobile applications.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS
• General knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, JQuery
• General knowledge of marketing principals
• General knowledge of software development life cycle

• Ability to talk to all levels of customer (from End Users to Executives)
• Ability to talk about technical concepts to people with differing backgrounds (unknowledgeable to subject matter experts)

• Adaptable, positive and proactive
• Calm under pressure
• Strong customer service skills

Ability to travel up to 10% is expected for this position.
