    MercuryGate is seeking a UX Designer who will help to drive the next generation designs of customer facing applications (web and mobile).

    Responsibilities

    The UX Designer will work hands-on all aspects of projects related to customer experience and interaction-including user research, interaction design, and visual design through close collaboration with business peers, end users (internal and external), application architects, and technical engineers by leveraging your experience in all aspects of UX design, personal skills, and group facilitation to drive meaningful UX discussions across the organization.

    As the UX Designer, you will:

    Create complete and effective project assets including documentation, wireframes, mockups, and visual design artifacts

    Work tactically and collaboratively with Product Owners and Development teams to complete sprint work

    Have the ability to assess and analyze complex business problems and then propose, champion, and deliver elegant solutions

    Participate and engage in discussions as related to user interaction and design

    Qualificaitons

    Bachelor's Degree in Design (e.g. Interaction, Graphic, or Industrial), Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science, Engineering from an accredited college or university

    Minimum of 4 years of experience in user-centered research design and user interaction design principles, processes, and methodologies that includes exposure to and understanding of latest web and mobile technologies

    Desired Characteristics

    Expertise in rapid-prototyping in InvisionApp to produce wireframes / interactive prototypes and MVP’s

    Experience with Sketch

    Working knowledge of development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, javascript, mobile framework

    Ability to drive the iterative design reviews, synthesize feedback, and close on design requirements independently

    Strong presentation, and communication skills

    Ability to balance multiple initiatives and competing directives

    A portfolio (web or PDF) clearly demonstrating your facility with the different aspects of User Experience

    Experience working within an Agile team

    Strong oral and written communication skills

    High level of energy, self-motivation and a strong customer / external focus

    Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

    Innovative User Experience team in the triangle seeks an experienced UX Designer / Information Architect. The individual would be responsible for leading and architecting self-service tools within the product team. This individual would be joining a fast-paced team, collaborative in nature, and extremely visible within the organization. Role will collaborate with a team of client and information architects, visual designers, editors, prototypers, researchers, usability specialists to tackle complex projects of varying size.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to create user-centered experiences in a fast-paced, iterative environment by:

    - Conducting user research

    - Designing wireframes and interactive prototypes

    REQUIREMENTS

    - Collaborative nature and genuine desire to do great work

    - Inclined to provide solutions rather than focus on limitations

    - Impressive portfolio that demonstrates a user-centered approach and a focus on project outcome

    - Experience with wireframe / prototype tools (Axure or similar)

    - Experience working hand-in-hand with visual designers and developers

    - Understanding of complex design systems that span multiple platforms

    - Experience thriving on Agile teams

    - Ability to travel to visit out of state clients

    - 4+ years of relevant professional experience

    - Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Information Science, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, a similar emphasis, or equivalent professional experience

    Preferred

    - Facilitation skills, including the ability to read a room, keep people on task, and quickly process information

    - Demonstrated experience planning, conducting, and summarizing usability tests using an assortment of testing methods

    - Experience working as part of team dedicated to continually improving projects over time

    - Strong writing abilities

    - Basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS3

    - Experience working within established brands guidelines

    What we look for:

    -Agency experience preferred

    -Knowledge of the agile software development process

    -Degree with an emphasis in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Psychology, Psychology, Computer Science, or related discipline

    -Proficient to expert in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, OmniGraffle, and/or Sketch

    -Deep understanding of HTML, CSS

    -Experience creating interaction prototypes using Axure, Invision, Atomic, or similar

    -Prior experience in UI design for mobile devices a plus
