This month's meetup will be co-hosted with STC Carolina. The Society for Technical Communication is a professional association that seeks to advance the arts and sciences of technical communication, promote awareness of the latest trends and technology in the field, and provide innovative services for the education and professional development of its members. Considering that the whole point of the web is to allow people to communicate information (much of it technical) with one another, it makes for a pretty significant overlap with the field of User Experience.
So let's all meet and discuss how we write instructions for applications, how we interact with the various SMEs on our team, and how users learn to do all the complicated gymnastics we ask them to do every day.
Chips, queso and salsa from Armadillo Grill will be in attendance. We'll have water available, but currently the event is BYOB (but this could change based on attendance).
