    Who you are:
    Youre an UX researcher with at least 4 years of experience, with a strong understanding of User Centered Design that enjoys working with various usability research tools while leveraging various research methodologies. You use industry tools such as Tree Jack, usertesting.com, User Zoom or Usability Hub. Knowledge of Axure is helpful too. You can take research results translated them into actionable insights and present to internal stakeholders, management and leadership. To find success with our client you will demonstrate flexibility, ask clarifying questions, act as a lead for delivery and execution of concurrent user research studies. You are proactive, detail oriented team player that is always curious to what technology will bring next.

    What you will do:
    Leveraging WebEx you will conduct and moderate usability research interviews and activities. You will also lead the coordination of such sessions.
    Conduct usability tests to evaluate product use including ongoing iterative tests as designs evolve or follow newly introduced design elements.
    Develop test scripts and scenarios to determine users needs through task-focused analysis
    Collaborate with product and design teams to gather testing requirements and conduct quantitative and/or qualitative studies to shape iterate and/or validate design concepts.
    Analyze research findings, report on insights develop presentations and present to stakeholders and management.
    Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members.

    • Creates user interface designs and prototypes based on quantitative research and UX input

    Provide ongoing support as a contractor or consultant to enhance and improve open-access data platform capabilities and users’ experience. Design support for planned new functionality. Re-deploy existing functionality that is cumbersome and detracts from the users’ ability to execute their platform activities. Transfer the existing platform’s marketing content/capabilities to the new website, and close design gaps in the resulting interface.

    Primary responsibilities: Identify functional requirements and put into context via use cases and system design; Design, develop, and document high level and detailed storyboards, mockups and/or prototypes to effectively communicate visual designs; Run design reviews, usage walkthroughs, and usability tests with key stakeholders and representative users to validate and iterate designs as needed.
