Triangle UXPA and Ladies that UX Durham are co-hosting a fun evening of lightning talks and a book swap at the Caktus Tech Space in Durham, NC!
Despite working in digital, do you still love holding physical books? Would you like to learn about favorite books of others and maybe pick up some new-to-you books? And get rid of your old books taking up shelf space?
Lightning talks are 5-minute long, fast-paced talks, where each presenter gets only 20 slides, and the slides automatically advance every 15 seconds. The brevity of these talks make them focused and informative. For this event, we’ll ask you to provide a few highlights from your favorite UX-related book. This will help others discover whether it’s the right book for them to read.
Call for Speakers: Please fill out this form. We’ll be hosting the event on Monday, February 12, 2018. Please submit by Friday, January 5, 2018, 11:59pm EST. We’ll be announcing speakers on January 10, 2018.
The book swap will be going on before and after lightning talks. Bring books related to UX, tech, and career development to give away. Pick up books that sound interesting to you. Any books not taken will be donated to the Wake and Durham County libraries.
