Talk: Introduction to Accessibility for Designers

The best way to incorporate accessibility into your websites and apps is to consider it early, before implementation starts. I’ll give a few examples of how designers can address accessibility and a checklist to review your own work. In the second half I’ll open up to questions related to design, dev, and/or QA.

This talk is an overview of my in-depth workshop that I’ve given at CSUN, Access U, and TriUXPA. I hope to give it again at TriUXPA next year!

Miranda Capra, PhD, CPWA

She’s moderated several usability tests with people with disabilities and is Certified Professional in Web Accessibility from the IAAP, a certification that covers both design and web development.
