Join us for our Halloween themed social event!
It's the perfect, no-pressure environment to grow your network, catch up with industry friends, and enjoy a great drink!
Note: Attendees will be responsible for purchasing their own drinks. This will allow for greater flexibility in choice of drink, from speciality cocktails to non-alcoholic options.
While costumes are completely optional, we encourage you to get creative and dress up!
A few "UX nightmare" concepts to inspire you:
The Unclosable Modal: A giant, intrusive window with no visible "X" button.
The Lorem Ipsum Monster: Covered head-to-toe in gibberish placeholder text.
The HiPPO (Highest Paid Person's Opinion): A person dressed in business attire with a stuffed hippo perched on their shoulder, symbolizing the dominant opinion that overrules data and design principles.
The Ambiguous CTA: A shirt with a huge button that just says "Do The Thing."
The Scope Creep: Start simple, but keep inexplicably adding layers and accessories throughout the night!
We’ll be meeting at Watts & Ward (136 E Hargett St, Raleigh, NC 27601), a stylish downtown Raleigh cocktail bar known for its unique, underground speakeasy atmosphere.
With its low-lit, Prohibition-era charm, cozy seating nooks, and multiple bars, it’s an ideal spot for conversation and connection. The bar offers an extensive menu of handcrafted cocktails, a wide selection of beer and wine, and excellent non-alcoholic (Zero Proof) options, ensuring everyone finds a drink to enjoy.
Watts & Ward is located in downtown Raleigh. We recommend utilizing nearby paid parking decks or public transit.
If you'd like to coordinate a carpool, please post a message in our community Slack channel.
