Volunteer: Role, Responsibilities, and Benefits
There are numerous ways to volunteer with TriUXPA! You can sign up to be one of our volunteers in either Ad-hoc or Embedded in a Team role. Volunteering with TriUXPA is a great way to support our UX community and network with some of its brightest and most active members. We’re always looking for eager volunteers to help our community thrive! No matter your years of UX experience, we would like to have you join us. Ad-hoc Volunteer (variable hours)
◈ Help on an as-needed basis with various areas of Triangle UXPA programs and activities.
◈ Example activities could be helping the day of an event with attendee sign-ins, directing participants to event location, helping with set-up/closing. Another example might be staffing an information table at an outreach event.
Embedded in a Team (variable hours)
◈ Similar to the Ad-hoc Volunteer role, but this position allows the volunteer to work more intensively within a specific team, be part of bi-weekly team meetings, and allows participants to focus on a variety of areas of their choice
◈ Participation in teams such as Events, Community, Mentorship, and Students, or the Marketing and Communications teams are possible, among others.
◈ This position will typically involve more hours each week, but the level of participation is flexible based on your availability.
