About the team:
Markets Clearing IT is an established organization within DB consolidating the OTC Clearing, Equity Prime Brokerage (PB), Rates PB, Credit PB, Foreign Exchange PB, Listed Derivatives (LD) businesses and Global Prime Finance (GPF), which consists of Securities Lending, Risk & Margin, and the Synthetic Equities businesses.
Increased demand for integrated OTC and LD clearing solutions has gone hand-in-hand with changes in regulation and the move to central clearing of standardized products. GPF is a leading business line which is consistently top rated in the press and voted No. 1 Global Prime Broker in 2008 and 2009 by the Global Custodian Survey.
The MPF mission is to offer a holistic, seamless set of services to DB clients.
In this role a candidate would be a UX designer who will design new and support on-going functional deliveries for the bank's trading & Client applications.
The individual will be involved in projects working with multiple product areas to gather business requirements and propose solutions in order to help the business enhance its strategic risk and margin platform, and will be responsible for identifying, devising and documenting tactical and strategic solutions for Corporate Banking & Securities Technology within Deutsche Bank’s Global Technology organization.
The candidate must be able to think critically, analyze workflows and data, draw conclusions, and suggest approaches to mitigate operational risk, improve efficiency and recommend automated solutions.
Responsibilities / Tasks:
Responsible for managing and owning functional requirement track for the engagement.
The program is divided into small, highly motivated, agile teams. Software deliveries are typically frequent and the team members are expected to keep sight of the ideal user experience solution while working
towards it with smaller discrete drops over longer periods of time.
The ideal candidates will have a background delivering the UX for web and desktop applications for
Financial Services and/or large scale markets trading applications. You might describe yourself as an Experience Architect, Interaction Designer or User Researcher. Ideally, you’re part-interaction designer, part-information architect, part-usability expert, part-business analyst, part visual designer - and all user experience.
We need strong professionals with excellent team and communication skills. You’ll appreciate good design aesthetics, handle pressure well, and easily adapt to new and complex business domains.
Act as a key liaison between Deutsche Bank AS (Application Service) team, Vendor product manager
Help drive best practices in and may tactically support highest priority releases and/or enhancements to
large or critical systems.
Implement best practices around requirement gathering methodologies and requirement documentation
Review and contribute to functional test plans and scenarios
Participate and actively contribute during planning by providing technology view to the plans, issues,
dependencies and risks and help drive the overall strategy.
Provide absolute transparency to various stakeholders by implementing bank-standard reporting and
tracking tools and making right escalations, at the appropriate times to the relevant stakeholders on key
risks and mitigation actions.
Developing and maintaining the project and program plan
Tracking and reporting key portfolio milestones
Portfolio risks and issue reviews
Supporting governance around the Portfolio
Proven experience developing and delivering commercially driven user experienced focused projects.
Evidence of delivering commercially viable business solutions to meet customer needs.
Experience with GWT (Google Web Toolkit) is a must
Experience working with Vaadin framework is a plus
Comfortable sketching, wire framing, prototyping
Solid understanding of UX and UI design with an emphasis on maximizing usability
Have the ability to perform heuristic reviews of existing build
Collaborative approach to design
Strong Information Architecture experience with the ability to define and drive the overall process
Strong visual design sensibilities, with experience of delivering visual specifications
Ability to communicate effectively and the will to influence client strategy and perceptions
Have experience of designing the UX for markets trading or other single dealer related systems
Experience in writing functional specifications/ Business Requirements
Experience with workflow applications and integration of platforms is a plus
Experience managing diverse group of stakeholders, including business, operations and technology at
different levels of the organization
Ability to commit and prioritize work duties and tasks
Proven communication skills / Fluent in English (written/verbal)
Candidates do not necessarily need banking experience but must be passionate with a track record of successful deliveries and a stunning portfolio demonstrating how you work as well as your end product.
Education | Certification (Recommended):
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, Economics or Computer Science (or equivalent qualification/work experience)
