    The User Experience (UX) Designer participates in the day-to-day user experience engagement activities with a focus on delivering market-differentiating, high quality, highly interactive, high performance applications that match or exceed customer expectations. This position creates interaction work flows, page wireframes and interface requirements, plus develops visual style for the applications including layout, color, typography and iconography, with an eye for simple, sleek, usable designs. The User Experience Designer interprets customer needs, presents design concepts, and effectively communicate with the internal and external stakeholders on an expected user experience and issues that support both the business and a strong user requirements. The User Experience Designer contributes to the success of the user experience in cross-functional teams that include Product Development, product owners, business analysts, and users.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Work closely with users to translate findings from usability requirements, surveys, and so on into positive user experiences. Make design decisions based on established corporate UX standards driven by research when appropriate but also has a keen sense of what will work well.
    2. Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and product development to clarify and define business requirements as they apply to the user interface.
    3. Deliver user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, presentations and comprehensively annotated design specifications, prototypes and final designs for internal/external development teams.
    4. Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and users for review and feedback.
    5. Appreciate critical feedback (both giving and receiving) and seek it out in reviews with peers, stakeholders and research. Listen to the feedback and balance multiple, sometimes conflicting, inputs when arriving at a final design.
    6. Revise and improve designs based on user feedback, research, tech constraints, and business decisions.
    7. Craft UX engagements that exceed customer expectations by partnering with key product stakeholders to understand and support product business goals, advocating user-centered design (UCD) industry best practices.
    8. Ability to present effectively to large audiences and executives.

    Knowledge and Skills
    • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, or similar fields.
    • A minimum of three years of experience as a UX designer, information architect, visual designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, or similar role, and a strong portfolio of effective Experience Design work.
    • Excellent communication, solid writing, presentation, and human relations skills.
    • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
    • Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
    • Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles.
    • Proven knowledge of desktop and website application design trends, patterns, usability, technical considerations and best practices.
    • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
    • Proven capability to work on multidisciplinary project teams in the deployment of best-of-breed, innovative, and user-accepted software applications.
    • Ability to interact effectively with product teams of all levels and backgrounds, from CEOs to office staff, inside and outside of organization.
    • Self-starter with strong organizational skills who can keep the big picture in mind, work through details, and sell ideas.
    • Creative and strategic thinker able to develop innovative solutions to problems and leading-edge design.
    • Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides.
    • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Hands-on experience in information architecture, use case development, storyboarding, mock-ups and highly interactive prototypes.
    • Strong understanding of web interface programming, including HTML/XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
    • Proven ability to manage long-term engagements with multiple project tracks and teams.
    • Deep understanding and awareness of product development and experience tying product goals to business goals.
    • Ability to manage projects and resources.
    • Open to feedback and knows how and when to defend design choices.
    • Strong problem solving/decision making skills.
    • Well-developed analytical skills
    • Self-motivated and willing to "do what it takes" to get the job done.
    • Working proficiency of company standard MS Windows and associated office productivity software tools
    • Ability to travel up to 10%

    The graphic designer will drive UX strategies and customer engagement aligned with appropriate best practices for the website, digital media marketing activities, social media and community for Global Knowledge U.S. Marketing.     • Working with brand manager to create assets, campaigns, promotions and corporate identity pieces using illustration and digital design strengths
    • Leading the conception, design and development of the public website and community to build engagement with prospects, students and alumni, as well as other audiences (instructors, investment community, media, partners, etc.) and deliver against business objectives
    • Supporting the usability and look/feel of the e-commerce platform including consultation on business and technical requirements, as well as helping manage digital branding and the user interface
    • Creating exemplary, intuitive, useful visual design solutions inclusive of interactive mock-ups and prototypes for project review and approval activities
    • Balancing multiple concurrent graphic design and web projects on deadline with shifting priorities across a shared resource pool
    • Working with marketing communications and product marketing teams to develop relevant visually compelling content, aligned with appropriate audience and brand messaging
    • Auditing existing digital marketing efforts and developing optimization strategies, including enhanced community, social media and blog activities
    • Helping develop options for website and community merchandising, features and design investments
    • Reviewing website and community traffic trends with digital marketing specialist, including visitor behavior and customer feedback to initiate ongoing design and development
    • Researching and sharing new techniques, technology and tools to enhance UX, graphic design and branding tools and tactics

    Requirements:
    • BFA/BA Degree in graphic design, UX/UI or BA in marketing or related field
    • Three to five years of progressive graphic, UX and/or web design experience
    • Strong portfolio of digital design, websites, micro-sites, e-commerce solutions, game or user interfaces, or rich media
    • Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, as well as Internet and Internet-based design tools
    • CMS capability, coding familiarity
    • Familiarity with user personas and analytics, and website usability
    • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail
    • Strength in distilling intangible concepts and business requirements to create and present concise, compelling visual assets

    This position exists to design user interfaces via collaboration across multi-disciplined teams for global markets.     As the Sr Human Factor Eng your key roles and responsibilities will include:
