    We’re looking for a product designer with experience designing software-as-a-service web applications.

    We are looking for a breadth of design experience including formal design principles and typography, experience applying a brand identity and design system, and the ability to synthesize information to better inform design decisions. 

    You should have experience working closely with engineering and product teams to scope a feature, run a design process to explore solutions including testing solutions with users, and walkthrough features with engineering to make choices based on user goals and cost to build. Collaborating with engineering is not a hand-wavy thing here — we rely on each other to make the best decisions we can quickly, in service of the user needs. 

    You should have breadth of interests across product design considerations, including user needs, responsiveness, accessibility, information architecture, and other relevant practices.

    The User Experience department (4 librarians, 2 developers, 3 support staff) is responsible for the strategic management of the Libraries' web presence including design and development of web content and applications. The Libraries’ award-winning website provides contextual, just-in-time information to facilitate user experience with spaces, services, collections, programs, and events. The department engages in user research, adopts developments and insights from the broader realm of user-experience research, and strives for user-centered design to create a consistent experience across the Libraries’ many touchpoints in both physical and online spaces.     RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Collaborates with stakeholders and developers to create intuitive, accessible, user-friendly interfaces for the web, mobile devices, and digital signs
    - Develops wireframes, prototypes, and task flows based on user needs, and works with developers on their implementation
    - Helps the Libraries further establish visual and brand identity
    - Develops content strategy, information architecture, and a web style guide
    - Serves as a project manager

    This position is part of the Global eCommerce User Experience (UX) Team. We are currently seeking a User Experience Project Manager experienced in delivering an outstanding eCommerce experience to consumers. This person will be responsible for driving UX projects to improve the online customer experience for Lenovo.com globally.     Job responsibilities

    • Define user experience improvements leveraging input from customer feedback, onsite analytics, geography/business stakeholders and executives

    • Create a prioritized roadmap of user experience projects based on business value and contribution to customer satisfaction metrics

    Qualifications:

    Ecommerce/UX experience
    • 3-5 years of previous User Experience work in an eCommerce environment. Prefer experience working on large eCommerce websites

    • Understanding of effective web design, e-commerce and key UX principles

    • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment where innovation is expected

    • Experience with A/B testing and design thinking


    Project Management
      • Strong project management and organizational skills to manage many projects with different deadlines

      • Experience with the agile methodology and with key agile tools like JIRA

    Position Summary
    As a UI Designer/Developer, reporting to the Product Manager, you’ll help us empower educators to ignite change and inspire students through collaborative professional learning.
