Accessibility for Designers, Feb 15, 2025 at Curtis Media Center, UNC-CH

A crowd of 40+ heard a talk on the topic of Accessibility and UX Design by Dr. Miranda Capra, Accessibility Director at Truist. The event was hosted by Hussman School of Journalism and Media, UNC-CH. The talk covered design patterns and components for web and apps for users of screen readers and screen magnifiers. The influence of WCAG requirements, code examples, and ARIA on design was a covered in some detail. The presenter also included a discussion of how Truist built accessibility into their design system.
